Today's business environment demands corporations' response to changing
customer preferences within short periods of time. Concepts like staying close
to the customer, forecasting his needs and requirements even before he becomes
aware of them are the buzzwords of Business. Moreover all this information has
to be researched and products & services should be made available to the
customer within his budget.
Phases in Dedicated Development
eSoft has identified five phases for Dedicated Development in India to cut down
the development & overheads cost, increase the Returns on Investment and
optimize overall benefits.
Phase I: (Transfer of Requirements)
Activities: This phase conceives a continued and exhaustive interaction
between eSoft and Clients' team to arrive at a common understanding of
requirements. By the end of this phase eSoft would acquire knowledge on
clients' requirement, infrastructure, communication and security systems to be
put in place, parameters to evaluate and employ resources and would also
identify if there is a need to provide domain specific training to the
resources employed.
Phase II: (Selection of Manpower and Infrastructure)
Activities: Based on the requirements gathered from phase I, eSoft
procures infrastructure and makes necessary arrangements to recruit resources.
Resources can also be interviewed by the client as a final stage of the
selection process.
Phase III: (Training of Manpower)
Activities:The Clients team will be trained in the processes and
culture training imparted to them, so that the IDC works as a virtual extension
of Clients.
Phase IV: (Managed Operations)
Activities: During this phase it is recommended that Clients assign
a Project Manager to supervise the project.
Phase V: (Independent operations)
Activities: Once Client feels that the team can work independently
on its own the deputed Project Manager can be withdrawn and the team works on a
self managed mode.
